SANFORD—Quinn Ramini placed first in two events and Sanford relay teams picked up another pair of wins as coach Kevin Way's Sanford High boys track team placed third in a four-way meet in Windham last Wednesday.
South Portland won the meet with 125.5 points followed by Windham with 78.2, Sanford with 55.3 points and Biddeford with 31 points.
Ramini captured the long jump (20-5.5) and the triple junmp, (41-6). The Sanford 4x800 relay team that included Jake Gaudreau, Jose Noyola, Aaron Labbe and Phil Lenhardt won that event as did the 4x400 relay team of Lenhardt, Gaudreau, Justin Carlson and Ramini.
Gaudreau also won the 800 in 2:07.3 and added a third in the 3200.
Carlson also placed second in the 100 while Alden Chaisson took a second in the pole vault, a third in the triple jump, and a fifth in the high jump.
Lenhardt added a third place finish in the 400 and a fourth in the 800 while Shawn Goodrich took a fourth in the discus event.
Also scoring for the Redskins were Jace Clarke who placed fifth in the 110 hurdles, and Tyson Thongsavath who took a fifth in the 100.
A meet at Thornton scheduled for this past Tuesday was rained out and rescheduled. The Redskins will compete in the Westbrook relays on Friday.
